RX Clinic in Newport

Our RX Clinic gives you dedicated time with a pharmacist to go through your medicines properly. It is designed for anyone who has recently started something new, had a dose changed, come out of hospital or simply feels unsure about what each item is for.

The pharmacist checks that everything on your prescription still makes sense together, looks for interactions and duplications, and talks through timing, side effects and practical issues such as inhaler technique or hard to open packaging.

Where something needs changing, we contact your GP practice on your behalf with a clear recommendation. You leave with a simple written summary of what you take, when to take it and what to do if a dose is missed.
